Ironside Australia is a telecommunications company that takes pride in offering a high quality of work standards to our clients in the Telecommunications industry. Ironside Australia has experience working with multiple clients such as Telstra, Optus, TPG, Vodafone, NBN and 5G Micro Sites.

We are primarily a Fibre Hauling with minor Fibre Splicing capabilities and have completed projects all over Victoria including,

  • NBN: Fixed Relocations (ISPC), N2P, FTTN, FTTC, FTTP, BDOD, SD1, SD2, New Developments

  • Telstra Wideband and Telstra Asset Relocation & Commerical Works (ARCW)

  • TPG Firefly

  • Optus Relocations and Optus Emergency Works

  • Over these projects our capabilities have been second to none, consisting of experienced teams and team leaders to meet project completion dates and delivering an outstanding quality of works.

  • All our workers are up skilled and have the relevant training to complete works. All workers will typically have their Confined Spaces, Traffic Control, Gas Detection and First Aid/CPR Accreditations.

  • Ironside Australia can haul any Copper/Optical Fibre across any project whether it be DFN or LFN cable. We have hauled Fibre as big as 576F and Copper as big as 1200 Pair.

  • Ironside Australia does a lot of Relocations Works, Hauling large quantities of Cable quickly to ensure that other Construction Projects meet their deadlines. We typically work with the Level Crossing Removal Project and various road widening projects.

  • Ironside Australia does a lot of FTTP works including hauling SDS cable via lead-in conduit and installing PCD units on the premises of the customer.

  • Our experienced Fibre Splicers are competent using NBN’s ATLAS software, filling out NBN Workbooks, installing DJLs, FJLs, BJLs, MPTs and SMPs.

Capabilities

  • All essential equipment for Scoping and Rod and Roping, such as Traceable Rods, Air Compressors and High- Pressure Flushing units.

  • Internal Hauling experience in multi-level buildings, schools and residential, with all necessary tools and equipment.

  • Multiple cable hauling vehicles including Hydraulic Cable Drum Trailers, Cable Trucks and Winches.

  • Fibre Splicing Vans that are fully equipped with all the latest in splicing equipment such as OTDR’s, Single Fibre Splicers, Ribbon Fibre Splicers, PON Meters, DPU integration kits and so on.

  • Minor Civil Capabilities including: Pit and Pipe Installation, Blockage Rectification, Lead-in Installation

  • Scoped jobs to advise where Civil Works will be required
  • Rod/Ropped and Proved through congested existing network
  • We rectify Blockages using various methods such as: Dig Downs, High Pressure Flushes and Vacuum excavation
  • Fibre Hauled on the Project ranges from FSD, FSL, SSS and SDS Cable
  • We Splice all Fibre we put in, and build all Fibre Joints Necessary (BJLs, MPTs, SMPs)
  • We install PCD's and Fast Connectors to the customers premises and run Fibre to them, Stripped and Cleaved, ready to go for the internal crew
  • Completed all NBN Workbooks for Splicing Works
  • Completed works all over Victoria including Ballarat, Cobram, Paynesville and Bright
  • Suggested Re-designs where possible to save money and increase profits
